Corrections Policy

We aim to be accurate, and to be transparent when we get something wrong.

Owner input required

This page describes the correction mechanism actually built into the site. The newsroom's specific editorial thresholds — e.g. exactly when a correction warrants a standalone note vs. a silent copy-edit, or how long a correction stays visible — are an editorial policy decision for Rescue Multimedia's editors to set, not something this document assumes on their behalf.

How Corrections Work Here

Every article on this site carries a publication record — when it was first published, and, if applicable, when it was last updated. When an editor corrects a published article, they can add a dated, described entry to that record. Where a correction has been logged, it appears directly on the article as a visible "Corrections & Updates" note, immediately below the byline — not buried in a separate log a reader would have to go looking for.

Our Editorial Workflow

Content moves through the following stages before and after publication:

  1. Draft — written by a journalist, not yet visible to readers.
  2. Pending Review / Fact-Checking — checked by an editor.
  3. Approved — cleared for publication.
  4. Published — live on the site.
  5. Updated — a published article that has since been corrected or revised, with the change disclosed as above.

Report an Error

If you believe something we've published is factually incorrect, please tell us — include a link to the article and a description of the error — at correction@rescuemultimedia.com. We review every correction request.
